The 1920's are the last of the Golden Years before the Modern Era and Chicago is in its prime. She is a city of flamboyant decadence who thumbs her nose at the hypocritical morality consuming the rest of the nation. Indeed Prohibition hasn't hampered Chicago's lifestyle; it has only made her withdraw her nefarious activities into the speakeasies, back rooms, and alleys. Down these murky alleyways and through dimly lit streets the creatures of darkness wage an unseen war of subterfuge and political intrigue against their foes using both man and beast alike to fuel their never ending battle.  In the vibrant lights of the Windy City, all sides have upped the ante as they scramble for a hold on their last nights of uncontested power before the Modern Age.  Hushed words and foul deeds are the tools of the trade.  The clandestine Kindred tug the strings -- maneuvering and manipulating their minions like the puppet masters of a fast disappearing era to further to their own mysterious game...a game they know all to well how to play.  Existing just outside of the periphery of perception and understanding are the Magi, the living enigmas and masters of reality itself.  These will workers labor tirelessly to their own unknowable goals slipping in and out of the grand game only briefly at their whim, fading back into obscurity leaving neither trace of their passing nor remnant of their enemies.  Surrounded on all sides by their ancient foes are the Garou.  They stand back to back in their small patch of earth against all comers, lashing out with a savage brutality unmatched by any creature walking this earth.  With tactics borne of a razor wit and meted out with an equally razor sharp talon the Garou stand steadfast against all who would defile the sacred places of the earth.  Outnumbered, outgunned and in a nearly hopeless position, they work diligently to stem the tide of Industrial Progress.  The horrific World of the Darkness is still safely veiled behind it's wall of disinformation and the early Scientific Age. Technology has not been able to penetrate the dark secrets looming in the underbelly of the city streets, but it is eager to condemn those who believe. This is an age of lawlessness among the masses where blood splashes against the concrete of Gangland Chicago.  Bootleggers and mobsters are the heroes who feed a thirsty city resentful of a minority's propensity to inflict its own morality on the majority all the while fueling a corruption that threatens to consume the very innocence that the era celebrates so passionately. Among the supernatural, it has provided a perfect backdrop for the stage in which they enact their tragedies. Thus the Windy City roars...
